After a week of panic, last minute car repairs and wondering will if we’ll be blessed with sunshine, PVS 2010 has been and gone and what a weekend it was. It started for us on the Friday, vans loaded, cars loaded and sat nav set for Santa Pod. This year the TV stand was located on the hard standing along with the clubs and the Platinum retail village, with a host of feature and project cars on display including our lairy Devil Yellow coupe, needless to say it was an action-packed weekend!
Elsewhere the Ten of The Best contenders entertained the crowds, setting some blistering times in the process before being upstaged by the 270mph Fireforce top fuel dragster. Chip is now looking into afterburners for the Nova. The Trampdrift guys were on top form, destroying literally hundreds of tyres over the weekend whilst provided the worlds most sideways taxi services. As the sun beat down, the club stands were packed out, the bargain hunters descended on the trade stands and the non stop strip action culminated with the finals of the Regal top 16 shootout.
By 5pm it was all over, leaving us exhausted, sunburnt and facing the long drive back to base. Was it worth it? You bet it was! This one was the best yet. Roll on TV Live at Castle Combe in August!
