Here's some shots of the mean looking new Insignia VXR. These left hand drive examples were on display last Thursday at Thruxton. The new cars have huge Brembo brakes, Recaro interiors, four wheel drive, 20 inch wheels and 325 bhp. 'Nuff Said! We can't wait to get our hands on one!
This is the Sport Tourer. The Vectra VXR Estate was awesome, this should take it to another level.
And here's the equally exciting hatch version. What do you reckon to those silver air intakes?
Black looks great, but there's a wider colour choice on the Insignia than any previous VXR with the following choice available to buyers: Arden Blue, Power Red, Carbon Flash Black, Silver Lake, Olympic White and Technical Grey. But still no YELLOW! One day, they'll give in

The interior is top class. The seats and trim are awesome - it looks like it's been designed as a VXR (or OPC if you're in mainland Europe) from the ground up.
The 2.8 V6 Turbo engine is jam-packed into the engine bay. First person to fit one into a Nova wins £5.00. Seriously though, with 325 bhp and four wheel drive, this is going to be a serious bit of kit.
Lastly, one cool feature the cars will have is a special button. You're probably aware of the 'Sport' button, which is found in all sorts of Vauxhalls. Well, the Insignia VXR has a 'VXR' button. What exactly does it do? As soon as we find out, we'll let you know!!
